US advises to close schools for 14 days

When a child has a confirmed infection of the H1N1 virus, the US government advises schools should close for at least 14 days to cover a 7-10 day contagious period.

At least 400 schools across 18 states have been closed from the swine flu, now called Influenza A(H1N1) by the World Health Organization to prevent pigs across the world from being slain.

Teachers and parents of closed schools must consider what school work can be done at home to keep students from falling too far behind.
